Campaign Management System (CMS) Web-based Architecture
Goal: The primary goal of the CMS web-based applications using ColdFusion and Oracle technology was to integrate browser, server and database technologies to centralized marketing campaign information (MARCOM) and improve internal customer notification, media development tracking, and notification and management decision-making for corporate and regional data entry, tracking and notifications. The CMS tool would later integrate with CRM software.
Results: A value analysis was facilitated to create and determine the technical requirements of the software architecture functionality for development. The email notification of an approved campaign launch, on-line reporting, scheduling, on-line price adjustment plan, and a rule-base reasoning capability and data connectivity interfacing billing and accounting databases were identified. A project requirements definition (PRD) document was developed identifying all the Coldfusion web-based architecture elements and technology, database object hierarchy, network server requirements, administration and development, statement of work, software deliverables, project scheduling, operations and support.
Measurements: The project was within scope, schedule and technical requirements in regard to deliverables. Senior management funding was realigned to fund other projects of higher priority.
