We are so excited to launch the Sphere blog today - we will be contributing valuable content associated with each of our functional tracks here. You’ll get to know our instructors more, find frameworks and content you can apply in your work and hear success stories from our learners and enterprise clients.

This also comes at a busy time for Sphere - we recently announced a $4.3m raise along with the release of our two new functional tracks in Machine Learning and Data Science. With instructors like Chip Huyen, Xavier Amatriain, Hugging Face, Josh Wills, Ronny Kohavi and so many more leading figures, we are truly creating a faculty that is unrivaled, globally.

So to kick things off we wanted to outline what really makes Sphere and our cohorts so special. There’s obviously a lot of educational content and providers out there, so what is it that makes us unique?

We are a platform vs a content play

Courses are grouped into functional tracks

Our platform provides the infrastructure that allows experts to upskill professionals around the world. We don’t create content from scratch (which is resource intensive), but rather we provide the rails and formula to create and repurpose content in a way that appeals to professionals. This means we are quick in getting courses to market and can be extremely responsive to enterprise needs, while ensuring quality professional learning. This is what enables us to execute on our vision to become the world’s largest decentralized corporate university. We’ve started with our ML and Data Science tracks but we’ll be launching functional tracks across all areas of business.

We are amassing the world’s best faculty

Faculty are vetted experts in their industry

A lot of platforms claim to have experts, but not at the caliber we provide. Our instructors are responsible for building some of the highest performing products and teams in the world at companies like Apple, Airbnb, Amazon, NVIDIA, Netflix, Slack and so many more. Ultimately, we will let the lineup speak for itself but we hope you agree!

We are building a distribution engine

Enterprise contracts allow rapid growth of distribution engine

Very few instructors can click their fingers and consistently get 100 people to pay top dollar for a course. We’ve sold to 700 businesses now and have recurring enterprise contracts that help alleviate that distribution risk. Additionally, our distribution network also informs our curriculum and cohort library. With skill requirements constantly changing we often see demand for certain topics pop up consistently across organizations and our platform model allows us to respond to this quickly.

We are focused on driving business impact

Course completers use their improved skills at work

We host courses that help professionals become better at their jobs, move the needle on KPIs and expand their network. To do that we focus our courses on specific, applied topics that are directly relevant to certain job roles. Add an industry pioneer as an instructor and a cohort of like-minded, motivated professionals and you get a live learning experience that drives genuine economic ROI for businesses. We’ll continue having that focus on actual impact vs being a tick-the-box L&D solution

We hope you enjoy what's to come on this blog. Chances are if you are reading this you’ve supported us in one way or another and we can’t wait to continue our journey with you 🙂

Heading 2

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Heading 3

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

Heading 4

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
