Frequently Asked Questions
Can you give me an example of how the subscription works?
A Sphere subscription is an annual upfront payment which loads your Sphere account with the value of your subscription. If your annual commitment (which can include top-ups throughout the year) reaches the thresholds noted above, you’ll receive the relevant discounts on all courses in our library.
For example, if you decide to buy a $10,000 / year Sphere subscription, you will be on the Team Plan which entitles you and your team to a 15% discount on all courses in our library.
What if my team uses up the value of the subscription and I want to send more people to Sphere courses?
You can top up your subscription at any time - based on the example of above, you might want to top up another $10,000 to your subscription. This would put you in our Department Plan ($10,000 + $10,000 = $20,000) and any additional course seat would receive a 20% discount. Note that your annual subscription after a $10,000 top up would be $20,000 / year.
When does my subscription year end?
Your subscription ends 12 months after it began (i.e., it does not end at the close of the calendar year).
What happens if I don’t use all my subscription value in a given year?
If you don’t use all your subscription value in 12 months, it does not roll over to the next year. However, you can still use your subscription value on classes that occur after your subscription year finishes. They just need to be purchased within the subscription year.
That is, if your subscription ends on May 3, you may use your funds to purchase seats to a course later that year. As long as you pay for the course before May 4.
Who controls the subscription (i.e., who decides where the money is spent)?
For Individual subscriptions - you decide where your subscription is spent!
When you buy a Team, Department or Enterprise Plan you nominate an administrator in your team (which could be a team lead, an L&D representative or otherwise). That administrator invites people to courses and can monitor attendance, subscription balance and top up.
What if my team can’t pay upfront but can commit to sending a certain amount of people per year?

Can I get a discount without subscribing?
No. In order to receive a discount on Sphere courses, you must become a subscriber.
What if I want to cancel?
You or your administrator can cancel any time through the Account Settings tab in your/their Sphere account.
