Alex Bowcut

Alex Bowcut is the AI Lead at Sphere, where he leads the design and development of TRAM (Tax Review and Assessment Model), Sphere’s AI native tax research system for global indirect tax. TRAM automatically ingests and interprets tax authority materials, builds product taxonomies, and proposes taxability, rate, and sourcing determinations that Sphere’s tax experts review and approve, enabling fast expansion into new products and jurisdictions with a lean expert team.A three time founder, Alex has spent his career building AI enabled software companies and architecting data driven systems that solve complex, real world problems. His experience includes a prior company that was acquired by Bain & Company, and helping grow multiple startups from pre revenue to $1m+ ARR. An early adopter and contributor in Transformer based embedding systems, Alex currently serves on Pinecone’s technical advisory board.
